Mobile Rose Society's 53rd Annual Rose Show
The mobile Rose society will hold its 53rd annual Rose Show at Bellingrath Gardens and Home on April 19 and 20. Learn how to grow and care for roses from area experts. Rose plants, supplies, books and gifts will be on sale in the Bellingrath Gift Shop.
Area amateur rose growers are encouraged to enter their prize blossoms in the show. Entries will be received in the Magnolia Cafe from 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. The judging will take place from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. The show will be opened to the public at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Members of the Mobile Rose Society will provide containers and tags as well as assist in identifying blossoms that are entered.
After visiting the show, tour the Bellingrath Rose Garden, named as the Most Outstanding Rose Garden in the United States. Featuring over 75 varieties, the Bellingrath Rose Garden hosts colorful blooms from late April through late fall. Rose Society members will be in the Rose Garden to answer questions about growing and identifying roses.
